Woodridge Invitational
Warm-up info for Woodridge Classic (Invitational) on Saturday, June 19-Skyline warm-up time is from 8:00-8:15 AM so please arrive at Woodridge Swim Club at 7:45 AM. The meet starts at 9 AM. The timer meeting will probably be around 8:30-8:40. Brian Speizer, Terry Newman, and Megan Rippon (THANK YOU). Remember to give your name at the admission table as a Skyline timer and you will receive free admission.
I typically encourage swimmers to attend the "Skyline warm-up" before a meet so that they can "try out" the host team's pool, practice some starts from their blocks, double-check their stroke count for backstroke turns/finishes, and wake up/get moving on a Saturday morning meet :) However, at this particular meet, the 100 IM event is first, and if your swimmer is NOT swimming the 100 IM (meaning - their first event is freestyle), then your swimmer will have quite a long wait before their first event. It looks as if there will be approximately 2 hours between Skyline warm-up time and when the freestyle event begins. If you feel warm-up will not be beneficial for your swimmer, feel free to arrive by 9:30 AM. The timeline shows the meet ending around 2 pm. The order of events is IM, free, back, breast, and fly.
Thank you.
