We will park as many as we can in our parking lot and then the bank parking lot next door once that closes. Please do not park at the Eden Resort across the street.
Mt. Joy Dual Meet – Thursday, July 8
Just a reminder that this meet, while it is being held at Skyline, it is technically Mt. Joy’s Home Meet. They will be filling some volunteer positions, but there are currently 62 open volunteer positions for our team!!! Please log on ASAP and fill these positions. You can also look at the remaining swim meets to see what positions need to be filled as well. Concession donations for Thursday night will be open after the Charity Cup is over on Tuesday night.
Lancaster Barnstormers – July 15
The Barnstormers are launching the Stormer Foundation. This is a non-profit organization to encourage activity through the promotion of youth sports. The launch of the Stormer Foundation is Wednesday, July 15th at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be free for youth athletes and their families through RSVP. To RSVP, please email [email protected]. Furthermore, any questions can be sent to that same email.
Save a Life (Swim for Cancer) – July 16
The annual Save a Life (Swim for Cancer) will be July 16 during regular swim practice times. Sponsor forms will be placed in mailboxes later this week. This is a fun practice as we ask the kids to swim as many laps as they can without stopping. They can use flippers and kickboards too! Snacks will be provided. We hope you will join us for a great cause and a great time!
Manheim Fast and Furious – July 17
The 18th Annual Fast and Furious Invitational is Saturday, July 17. Swimmers 11 years and older will be in the morning session while 10 and under will be in the afternoon. Sign-up for this meet is now closed. Please remember that the team pays for each event your child is entered to swim and you are expected to honor your commitment or pay the team the fees. We still need timers for this event – sign up on Swimtopia. More information about this meet will come next week.
Divisionals – Adamstown – July 24
More information about this will come next week but here are two reminders:
- This year, the Divisional T-Shirt is only being sold online. THERE WILL BE NO SHIRTS FOR SALE AT THE EVENT! If you would like to order a shirt please click the link below and place your order by JULY 8th!!!!! (Password when prompted: Divisionals2021)
fipcreative.com/championship-2021
- Here is the link for Timer sign-ups - They split the timers into two groups (free, back & breast, fly, relays). Please only sign up for timer positions. Adamstown will cover the other positions listed. We will need 6 timers in the morning and 6 more in the afternoon.
Skyline Board Positions
With only a few weeks left in the swim season, it is the perfect time to help us fill some important Skyline Parent Board Positions for next year – treasurer and concessions coordinator. Both of these parents are “graduating” this year so we need people who might be interested in helping out to step up. You will find a “job description” for the concessions coordinator attached so you can review it. It would be good if you could shadow Jody over the next few meets to have a better understanding of the need. This could even be a shared position - so ask a friend to join you!
Mailboxes and Lost and Found
Remember to check your families’ folder in the mailbox filing cabinet – some have ribbons and caps right now. There are a lot of water bottles, a swim cap with the name Olivia, 2 large umbrellas, a pair of girl’s shoes, and a pink raincoat.
