Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a great first week of indoor practices. It was so good to see everyone back in the pool. Here is a reminder of the schedule for this week:

Wednesday/Friday

ages 14-18 5-6pm ages 11-13 6-7pm

Tuesday/Thursday

ages 9-10 5-6 pm ages 5-8 (Age is as of June 1, 2023) 6-7 pm

Outdoor Practice

Outdoor Practices will begin Monday, June 5.

June 5- July 21 Outdoor practice schedule (every day except July 4th)

8:30-9:30 am ages 14-18 years

9:30-10:30 am ages 11-13 years

10:30-11:30 am ages 10 and under (At indoor practice, coaches will decide which group the 10 and under swimmers will be part of once we go outside. Practice times might end 15 minutes earlier for some swimmers.) 

Lead Crew (NEW)

This message is from Coach Jack: If you are 13 years or older and are interested in learning more about the Lead Crew Program (and are not already on the email list), please fill out this form. https://forms.gle/jmyyuc5hZ5ArDvwRA Our Lead Crew, which is made up of our older swimmers, provides support to coaches at practices, leads cheers, and establishes relationships with our younger swimmers. These volunteers are crucial to the success of our team. We have many exciting opportunities for our leaders this year, including our weekly service trips! Swimmer Emails (NEW)

If your teenage swimmer would like to receive these Sunday emails, please let us know their email address and we can add it to Swimtopia if they do not currently receive the emails. 

Conestoga Valley Invitational 

This invitational swim meet is optional for ALL Skyline swimmers. The CVI is held on Saturday June 10, 2023(morning) at the Leola Community Pool. The deadline to sign up your swimmer is Friday, June 2. If you have not declared either way if your swimmer is attending or not, you will be receiving a separate email after this. 

Welcome Back Social 

Our Welcome Back Social is scheduled for Tuesday, June 6at 6:30. We are asking any families attending to bring a dessert to share. The team will be providing paper products and water in coolers. If you are not a member of Skyline Pool, please tell them at the desk you are there for the social. We will be in the grass area on the opposite side of the pool near the sheds. This will be a chance to meet new families, board members, and coaches and have some food, fellowship, and fun! NEW THIS YEAR: Have any Skyline Spirit Wear, swimsuits, etc. that your child has outgrown? We would like to have any area where you can bring those items for you to pass on. 

Stroke and Turn Clinic

This year's Stroke and Turn Clinic for adults who are interested in volunteering to be trained to be a Stroke and Turn Judge will be on Sunday, June 4. We CAN NOT run a meet without multiple judges and the more trained and available - the better! If you are planning to attend this Zoom clinic, please email the team ([email protected]). Those who let me know, plus anyone who did it last year will receive an email after this with the Zoom information.
