Thank you and Guppy Gulch Info
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for volunteering, donating concession items, purchasing candygrams, buying raffle tickets, cheering on swimmers and coaches, and making memories at the Skyline Cup last night. It is exhausting but also one of my favorite nights of the summer. Thank for supporting the John Apple Swim Fund and The Mix.
I've attached the results from last night including Skyline's best time sheets.
I want to take a moment to thank those who helped clean up last night (including swimmers Meagan Speizer, Ligaya Condel, and Kayley Nguyen) We definitely NEED more people to help clean up after the meets. As of now there are only 3 signed up for Tuesday night and it's unfair for those of us (coaches and some parents too that have to get up and go to work as well the next day) that are there at set-up and work the whole meet and then have to stay to tear down as well because it has to be done. If more people would help, we could be done so quickly. If you don't know what to do to help, please ask.
Concession donations for Tuesday night are now open. We have had a parent volunteer to make sloppy joes but is requesting donation money. If you are willing to do that, contact Linda to make arrangements.
One last reminder: registration for Guppy Gulch closes TONIGHT! You can still pay up until next Friday, but we need to know our final count to let Guppy Gulch know how many to expect.
- You need to RSVP from the website. You can still do it from the Swimtopia app on your phone, but you have to choose the Visit the Website at the top of the screen and then choose Meets and Events and scroll down to both events to click the green RSVP button.
- RSVP for only those listed in your family who are attending.
- If you are not planning to attend at all, you DO NOT need to RSVP.
- You must complete the online waivers for each participant BEFORE registering on Swimtopia if you are attending Guppy Gulch.
- WaiverForever (adults) WaiverForever (minors)
- If you are bringing additional guests, please choose how many and list their names in the Comment Section.
- In the comments section – please list your # of participants/observers, total amount/payment method/acknowledgement of waiver completion.
- You can find the Venmo account for our team under Businesses - @skylinesharks. If you choose this payment method, please write Guppy Gulch and Swimmer’s Name and remember the cost is $1 more per person attending.
- If writing a check, please make it out to Skyline Swim Team and place it in an envelope labeled Guppy Gulch in the Damm mailbox.
- Guppy Gulch is recommended for guests 8 years and older.
- We highly recommend that parents of 10 and under supervise their children IN the water.
- You must provide/arrange your own transportation. If your swimmer is a minor and you are not attending, we NEED to know who is driving and who is responsible for your swimmer at Guppy Gulch if an emergency would occur.
- All swimmers will receive a pair of AquaSocks to wear in the park and to take home at the end of the day. The cost of these is included in your ticket price. Other types of shoes and/or water socks will no longer be allowed on the inflatables or docks.
- You must register by this Friday, July 7 but payment is due by next Friday, July 14. If you aren't registered by Friday, July 7 you will be unable to attend since we need to give the count to Guppy Gulch on that date so don't delay!
- Contact Joyous Bethel at [email protected] with any questions about the day and Linda Piper at [email protected] about any payment or registration information.
