We are in the home stretch everyone - so buckle up for some timely reminders and announcements. 

Save-a-Life Swim Program - TOMORROW

• Only swimmers who raise money for the Save-a-Life Swim Program should come to practice.
• Swimmers can request donors to pledge per lap or make a flat donation. Ask your parents, older siblings, grandparents, neighbors, and friends to donate.
• The Pledge Form is attached. You can download and print. There will be a few in a labeled folder in the top drawer of the filing cabinet.
• New this year: online donations can be made here: American Cancer Society (acsevents.org) - type Skyline Swim Team - (it says Relay for Life, but it is for Save-a-Life).
• Come during your normal practice time.
• The team will provide snacks when swimmers are done swimming. There will be drawings for prizes too. 
• If someone is writing a check, make it payable to the American Cancer Society. All money and pledge sheets are due in the Piper mailbox by Friday, July 21. 

Banquet - Sunday, July 23   - REMEMBER YOU MUST SIGNUP AND PAY BY FRIDAY!!!

Where: Eden Resort Courtyard

When: Sunday, July 23 5-9 PM

Cost: $15 for swimmers $25 for non-swimmers 11 and under

$30 for non-swimmers 12 and up

Payment: Cash, Check (payable to Skyline Swim Team -put in Damm mailbox) or Venmo (@skylinesharks) due to Skyline by July 14

Register: In Swim Topia (on the website), go to Meets and Events and scroll to Banquet and click the RSVP button. RSVP for only those listed in your family who are attending. If you are bringing additional guests, please choose how many and list their names (and age if a child) in the Comment Section. Also, in the comments section – please list your total amount and payment method. If you have not registered and paid when the signup closes on the 14th, you will not be counted in the final count and will be unable to attend the meal portion of the banquet.

Other information:

• 8 and under swimmers will be sitting with their families
• Children ages 12-years-old and below must be accompanied by a responsible adult
• For safety purposes, Skyline Swim Team and families are only permitted in the courtyard and lobby areas of the Eden Resort. Parents/Guardians need to know children's whereabouts at all times.

2023 Red Divisional Championship - Saturday, July 22 - Ephrata

This meet is open to all swimmers in the Red Division who have participated in at least 2 dual meets throughout the season.

• They are running one session beginning at 9 AM. You veteran families are used to older kids in morning and younger in the afternoon. This will not be the case this year.
• 6 Volunteer timers are needed - we still need 3 SECOND HALF TIMERS
• Please make sure to declare your swimmer's availability ASAP. There are 78 swimmers currently with no declaration either way. Everyone who is available may swim at divisionals. 

All Leagues - Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 - Manheim (NEW) 

Although any swimmer can swim in the relay session of League Championships on Friday evening July 28, attached are the current qualifiers for the individual session being held on Saturday morning, July 29. Please see if your swimmer is listed and we encourage you to attend the meet on Saturday if you're available. Please be sure to choose either attend or decline on Swimtopia so Coach Barb doesn't have to make extra calls/emails/texts etc. Congratulations to all the Skyline qualifiers!! All swimmers still have both the Overlook dual meet and divisionals to work towards qualifying if interested.

Concessions (NEW) 

Concessions for our final home meet on Tuesday night will open later this evening. Below is a note from our concession's coordinators: 

Dear Skyline Families,

Thank you to all of the families who donated food items, donated their time during the meet, or did both during this season. Practically every item that is at the concession stand is donated to our team. The food, paper products, condiments, drinks, and anything else that you could think of happens because of your generosity. It is not an exaggeration to say that our concession stand is nothing without the hard work of the Skyline families. It is for that reason that we felt that we should express how we truly appreciate everyone who pitched in so far this season!

One more home meet to go! If you haven’t had a chance to help out our team, we’d love to have your support!

President's Note: I am adding another spot to the concession stand for this week. I would love to be able to free up both Laura and Lori so they could take a break and watch their kids swim more than they do! 

Pep Rally

Monday, July 17 - we are holding a pep rally before our big meet against Overlook on Tuesday, July 18. Anyone who can attend - meet us at the pavilion at Stoner Park from 6-7 PM. We will make some posters for Tuesday night, get some Skyline tattoos, do some cheers, and have a cool treat! Hope you can join us!
